Thanks for the great question.
My assumption is this is delivery of a video to 850 people simultaneously. We have managed live streams with much larger audiences than that (and VOD would perform even better with our CDN caching). But, I also understand the desire to see it for yourself 
I checked with our head of infrastructure and he said:
there are no proper way to do so as if she runs test from her computer, this is not meaningful
and spawing cloud instances for a test can be quite expensive
she may try SaaS tools for a test: octoperf or loadimpact for instance
