How can I grant access to another user to my account?

Hi @viktor.gjorgonoski

This is in our development pipeline. ETA is early Autumn (northern Hemisphere).

Hey. Any updated ETA for this? Would be really useful for us in a week or so

Cheers,
Alf

Hey @alf.kristian – My name is Jeff, I run product here at api.video. Like Doug said, this is definitely in the roadmap but we’ve not yet started building. Would you be up for a quick call to chat more about exactly what you’d like to see in a multi-user environment. Or if you’d rather, you can tell us here about your situation and what you’d like to see in more detail. Thanks again for the feedback!

Sure, both would be fine. But let me try to explain what we’d like first, and we can clarify with a call if needed.

Basically I would like to invite both my project lead and my other programmer colleagues to the account.

The project lead, so they can input their credit card. My programmer colleagues, so I am not the only one with access to the API Keys.

It would also be nice if several of us, got access to the forum as well. As far as I understand, you actually need a paid account in order to get a user here?

Anyways. Our plan at the moment is to create a new account, with a generic email, not bound to me, and use a password manager so we can all have access. Not a great solution, but will do the trick.

Ideally it would be nice with a single sign-on integration as well, since we expect our org to grow considerably. That is a “nice to have” requirement, since I think only a handful of people needs access to the account.

Cheers,
Alf

Thanks @alf.kristian that is super helpful! So what you described with being able to invite multiple different users (based on email address) to a project on api.video is what we’re leaning towards for the first release. I completely understand the single sign on use as well and that will come later on.

By the way, your team can sign up for the forum. They’ll just have to create an api.video account (but that can be a sandbox account - aka no need for a credit card). Hopefully that helps!

I need this feature too. Just wish I had noticed it was not available earlier

Hi @bron – we’re aiming to have multi-user access available by the end of the year. If you’ve got a moment, I’d love to hear more about exactly what sorts of features/access you are looking for with allowing others into your api.video account.
